Classic Colours was founded in 1989 to formulate and produce offset printing inks. In the early 1990s, when waterless printing was still in its infancy and ink came exclusively from Japan, Classic Colours worked with waterless printers in the UK and Scandinavia to develop a complete range of inks.

From the very beginning, the company’s aim has been to establish itself in niche markets by offering technically superior products in difficult areas such as fluorescent and metallic printing.
A sustainable approach
Compared to lithoprinting, waterless printing saves a considerable amount of water and eliminates the need for other chemicals. The process uses no isopropyl alcohol or fountain solutions, so there is no release of contaminated water into the environment or VOCs into the atmosphere.
Today, Classic Colours specialises in the production of UV/LED waterless inks and exports its products worldwide.
