The history of iWet dates back to 1952 when Industria Tessile Roby was born. It was the first producer and leader in dampening roller cover for offset machines in Italy and Europe.
For many years, Industria Tessile Roby has served major Italian publishing groups, paper manufacturers and large and small printing houses. Their primary goal was to offer high-quality products to operators, which led them to continuously search for new raw materials and technology to maintain the highest quality standards. In the late 1990s, the company transformed and rebranded itself as Covertex, a more contemporary brand.
This change embraced technological advancements and expanded its market worldwide. Over the last few years, the company has invested in research and development, recognizing the decline of dampening roller cover due to the new technology.
This awareness led to iWET, a brand linked to the company’s production of dampening roller cover with a revolutionary and essential new objective: to produce unique solutions for ink cleaning and machinery maintenance in the press room based on biochemical technology and characterized by a high degree of innovation and environmental sustainability.
iWet products are designed for other important industrial sectors, including mechanics, catering, and hobbies. Their range includes special solvent-free degreasers and detergents that are not harmful to operators and are environmentally friendly.
